Tip of the Month
Every year almost 4,000 Canadians die by suicide. In spite of our alarming suicide rate, Canada has no national strategy for preventing suicides. Now more than ever it is time to take action. If you support the need for a national suicide prevention strategy, the Canadian Association for Suicide Prevention (CASP) invites you, your friends and families to sign CASP’s e-petition by going to suicideprevention.ca or nspscnd.epetitions.net
Did you know?
We run a children’s suicide bereavement support group for children ages 6-12 years. The next children’s group will be held in February 2010. The group will run for 6 weeks, one evening a week. For more information, contact Jackie at 780-732-6646 or sap@thesupportnetwork.com.
